Recommended for canaries that we wish to avoid ‘dorée’ (pigmentation of the feather derived from the ingestion of carotenoids and xanthophylls). Serinus formulas are complete foods. Birds obtain in them all the nutrients necessary for optimal health, excellent vigor and a superb quality of plumage.
The breeding formula is indicated to constitute the basis of the diet during the breeding season, from one month before the beginning of the breeding season until the moult is complete.
In ornamental and singing animals it will be supplied to facilitate molting and to promote mating of singing males. White formulas are foods designed for breeds that, due to established competition standards, should not show reddish, orange or yellowish colors in their plumage. They are free of carotenes and xanthophylls and, on the other hand, contain higher levels of other antioxidants and vitamin A.
They are designed to be fed as a unique diet. Alternatively, they can be supplied with seeds in mixed diets. It is advisable to supply leafy vegetables periodically in order to give variety to the diet. It should be fed dry and in feeders with grids. Store in a cool and dry place.
Daily consumption: approximately 3-4 g per day per bird.
